Overview
Aforza is an award winning product that supports the CPG companies for their operations, field sales and support. Built on the Salesforce platform, the product provides a comprehensive solution for the CPG companies to plan sales, perform store visits, Sales and delivery.Client was looking for expertise from implementation partner on Salesforce and at the same time the flexibility to get started with Aforza
Besides the knowledge on Aforza, the project required knowledge of various other applications like Vendo, Oracle Integration Cloud
Anvisol’s Approach
Anvisol got engaged with the client in a flexi model where the discovery phase was in a time and material and the implementation was on a fixed price, fixed time model.
The discovery phase was recommended by Anvisol as the client did not have in house technical knowledge required to determine the project requirements while they needed to quickly rampup and support the business teams with mission critical features.
During discover, following key issues/requirements were identified by the team
- The features that were shipped did not meet the business process that the client needed
- Mission critical functions required manual intervention for unblocking business users
- Prior implementation was not as per the best practices recommended by Salesforce
- Business functions required technical support from time to time for some of basic requirements
- Integrations with Vendon needed upgrade
- Oracle integration cloud redesign was needed to enable retry mechnanism.
Implementation
Anvisol team ramped up on a war footing to help the client with the initial project stabilization. The team not only assisted with Salesforce issues but quickly skilled up on multiple products vis Vendon, Oracle Integration, Afrosa and helped the streamlining the support across all the dependent touch points
A flexi approach was designed to help the client onboard without much cost where the a discovery phase for a week was taken up on a T&M basis. Based on the outcomes of the discovery phase, a detailed hybrid model was proposed and agreed where the team comprised of full time and flexi resources.
This model proved beneficial to client in terms of managing the cost and business expectations, while it helped Anvisol to determine the right skill set and head count needed to execute the work their by build a strong delivery team.
The project was further extended to build a end to end business execution including customer onboarding, site onboarding, planning across various business groups, regions, order from business and direct customers , recurring orders and many other features.
Outcome
Client was able to get the business teams to use the technology stack more confidently based on the prompt and knowledgeable support extended by Anvisol in a short time of ramping up.The issue resolution time reduced by from days to couple of hours and the communication was streamlined.
Anvisol team ramped up on different technologies during the execution demonstrating high flexibility in helping clients.
Following are some of the quantitative outcomes
- Issue resolution time reduced by 90%
- By providing right solutions and enhancements, Anvisol was able to reduce the number of issues reduced by 70%
- Build significant features including integrations to Vendon, Oracle and other inhouse tools to reduce the manul efforts.
- Implemented MVP for larger implementation in mere 2 sprints to help business make decision on the viability of the solutions
